Overview

Information is power. The DoD is data rich, but information poor. The existing data collection, inspection, and repair processes do not uniformly capture the data that is needed to enable long term fleet monitoring and trend analysis. The necessary level of accurate, standardized data collection would allow for true process improvement and cost reductions while improving the overall health of the fleet.

The Process Guide technology provides point of use (POU) inspection and data collection capabilities. It is novel because it streamlines the inspection/repair process by standardizing both the process and deficiency findings ensuring that every component or system is inspected and repaired the same way and has the same result regardless of who performs the inspection (reliable, repeatable process). With standardized data, true root cause analysis can be performed and asset availability is greatly increased.
